Program Overview

Register Now and mark your calendar for MAXX 2017 at the Spokane Convention Center, October 23-25, 2017.

MAXX is where Northwest credit unions connect with each other to influence the direction of the Credit Union Movement.

Credit union professionals and Directors receive high-level training and connect with business solutions partners at the Strategic Link Trade Show. Attend the annual Credit Unions for Kids Auction, and celebrate the best of the Credit Union Movement at the Annual MAXX Awards Dinner and Gala.

Program Agenda

You’re part of the Credit Union Movement — an army of advocates advancing our mission to provide credit union members with meaningful value. This year’s MAXX Convention brings thought leaders and industry experts who will inspire you and help you understand the latest happenings at national, regional and state levels. We’ll share legislative and advocacy advancement updates. You’ll learn how your Northwest Credit Union Foundation is evolving to make a greater positive impact. And we’ll connect you with the best-in-class service providers at the Strategic Link Trade Show. After participating in this conference, you’ll walk away invigorated and armed with ideas and tools to meet your credit union’s goals and members’ needs.

Here’s a sample of key topics in development for MAXX 2017 Breakout Sessions:

Northwest Young Professionals Network: YP Leads Opportunity

Do you work at a credit union in Idaho, Oregon, or Washington? Do you identify as a young professional? Now is your opportunity to help shape the future of the Credit Union Movement!

In collaboration with YCUP Portland & SW Washington, YCUP Greater Seattle Area, and CLIMB Idaho, the NWCUA is delighted to announce the exciting, first-time-ever opportunity for 18 young credit union professionals—six from each state—to be designated as 2017 YP Leads. 2017 YP Leads will attend MAXX 2017 with key costs covered by the NWCUA and our generous sponsors.

As a Lead, you will be responsible for working with NWCUA staff to further shape the larger, growing Northwest Young Professionals Network, agree upon outcomes, design programming that fits within the current YP community, and identify clear roles and responsibilities.

NWCUA is accepting applications for this opportunity through Aug. 1, 2017.

If you’re selected as a Lead, you will:

  • Attend this year’s MAXX Annual Convention October 23-25 in Spokane, Washington
  • Attend 2 pre-event conference planning calls
  • Attend all sessions (general, breakout, etc.)
  • Volunteer at various events, including (but not limited to):
    • CU4Kids Auction
    • CULAC Booth & CULAC Fundraising
    • Advocacy Booth
    • Event setup and teardown
    • Complete an Impact Statement no later than 15 days after the event

After MAXX, you will:

  • Join the leadership of your local YP group or chapter to support your local credit union movement
  • Attend at least one NWCUA advocacy event in 2018
  • Co-create the programs needed to grow talent in the Northwest
  • Participate in additional leadership and volunteer opportunities in the future, as they become available.

Preference will be given to those who have not attended an NWCUA or ICUL convention in the past. However, this will not necessarily be a determining factor, so all “young professionals” are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Be a part of this unique opportunity at MAXX and beyond by letting your leadership and voice stand out as part of the Northwest Young Professionals Network.
