Mark Gonzalez serves as the Senior Manager of Member Engagement for the Northwest Credit Union Association. In this role, he strengthens cooperation and collaboration amongst credit unions within the Northwest by strategically managing programs, initiatives, and events that create new and innovative programs for the region’s Micro-Communities and Councils, increasing credit union awareness and NWCUA member engagement.
Mark has passionately served the Credit Union Movement for over 14 years, having worked for credit unions of various sizes in Oregon and California. Before joining the NWCUA, he developed a robust knowledge of credit union operations, holding positions in Member Service and Lending before stepping into his prior role as Branch Manager at Providence Federal Credit Union. Mark recently served as Vice President for one of the largest Oregon Chapter boards and is a graduate of the NWCUA’s Emerging Leaders program.
Mark wholeheartedly believes in the philosophy of “People Helping People” and admires the cooperativeness that credit unions provide. His journey within the Credit Union Movement drives him to think bigger, be mindful, and embody a collaborative spirit that is far-reaching and promotes inclusivity.
