4 Things You Can Expect from Your New Association on July 5

The official merger date of the Mountain West and Northwest credit unions associations is quickly approaching. On June 30, the two organizations will become one, forming a new six-state Association poised to advance and elevate the collective credit union voice.

With this new Association comes exciting changes for member credit unions in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming, starting July 5:

1. New Name, Logo, and Brand

“What’s the new name?” It’s the question everyone’s been asking, and the wait is almost over. Following months of in-depth research into the Association’s value proposition — including gathering insights from leaders at member credit unions, policy makers, and staff professionals — new brand identities for the Association, Foundation, and Service Corporation will be revealed after the July 4th weekend!

2. New All-Access Landing Page

A brand-new Association website currently is under construction and is scheduled to launch in January. In the meantime, as a member of the combined organization, you will have full access to the content on both NWCUA and MWCUA legacy sites and can register for any event on either site. When you visit MWCUA.com or NWCUA.org beginning July 5, you’ll see announcements linking to a new landing page with information about the merger and helpful links to navigate the various resources offered by the combined Association.

3. New Weekly Newsletter: Content to Keep You Connected and Engaged

Every Tuesday, the Association’s new weekly newsletter will be delivered electronically to all member credit union employees, several elected officials, business partners, media professionals, and others, and also will be accessible via a brand-new webpage. The modern, mobile-friendly layout is designed to showcase the Credit Union Difference in action while keeping you informed on the go. Each week, you’ll read about:

  • Credit union news from across the region;
  • The latest Association and industry news;
  • Advocacy updates;
  • Upcoming events and professional development opportunities;
  • Timely and relevant credit union resources;
    and more!

4. New Social Media Channels

Your new Association looks forward to connecting with you on social media. Keep an eye out for new Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages launching on July 5. More information will be available soon!
