This year, the NWCUA is providing nine individuals with a career-changing opportunity that will arm them with the tools and knowledge to play a key role in shaping the future of credit unions.

As a 2022 YP Lead, you’ll receive:

  • Free registration to the biggest credit union event of its kind in the Northwest: the 2022 MAXX Annual Convention, taking place Oct. 25-27, in Spokane;
  • Numerous networking opportunities with thought leaders, industry experts, and like-minded peers;
  • The opportunity to serve as a credit union advocate and ambassador during a 2023 advocacy event or by championing local advocacy efforts within your organization; and
  • Long-lasting relationships with a cohort of similarly passionate professionals.

Northwest Community Credit Union’s Nathan Bill was a 2021 YP Lead who said the program had a significant impact on his career from the get-go. After attending MAXX last fall, Bill was more inspired than ever to propel the Movement forward.

“Wow! What an experience for me! I’ve learned more in the span of five months than I did in the 16 previous years I’ve worked in credit unions,” Bill said. “I’ve taken away friendships and mentors I’ve never had… It’s been the best thing to ever happen to my career.”

Bill has since applied to a Micro-Community’s board of directors, attended the 2022 CUNA GAC in Washington, D.C., and was awarded the Northwest Community Credit Union President’s Award for his contributions to the Credit Union Movement.

Bill is also the recipient of the 2022 Emerging Leaders Scholarship and will complete the award-winning leadership development program in October.
