Consolidated Community Credit Union’s Creative Idea to Support a Local Animal Shelter

Consolidated Community Credit Union (CCCU) places high value on the contributions of its talented and creative staff members.

Five months ago, one of its loan officers, Lindsey, came up with a clever way to raise funds for a local animal shelter: a pet calendar featuring adorable shots of members’ and employees’ furry companions.

The credit union launched a photo contest, and the response was overwhelming. More than 300 entries later, the 2022 calendars are now available to purchase. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Oregon Humane Society.

“When employees share their ideas, we listen,” the credit union said on its LinkedIn page. “…It’s always rewarding to see employees’ ideas come to fruition, and it inspires others.”

On Jan. 11, Lindsey, her dog, Oliver, and CCCU Marketing Manager Rebecca Boles were featured on KOIN 6 News. Check out the video below to learn more about this great project.
