‘Tis the Season for Fraud — Help Your Members Stay Cybersecure

The leaves have turned, the temperatures have dropped, and the holidays are right around the corner. For many of us, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

For fraudsters, it’s also the busiest time of the year. As your members get ready for another holiday season, scammers everywhere are planning attacks to steal their sensitive data and bank information.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, reports of online shopping fraud more than doubled in 2020, and during the first half of 2021, the numbers continued to rise far higher than pre-pandemic levels. An Experian survey conducted last year revealed one in four respondents (24%) had fallen prey to fraud during the holidays, and experts say the trend is very likely to continue.

This holiday season, help your members stay safe from the increasing threats of fraud and cybercrime.
