Tell Us How You Will Celebrate International Credit Union Day?

International Credit Union Day is Thursday and we want to hear how your credit union plans to celebrate!

First recognized in 1948, ICU Day is a rallying day for the 86,000-plus credit unions in our global Movement. This year’s theme is “Building Financial Health for a Brighter Tomorrow.” It recognizes the ways credit unions contribute to a brighter future by providing financial empowerment to people all over the world through financial services, education, and support.

Northwest credit unions and Micro-Communities have always used ICU Day as an opportunity to fully lean into the power of cooperative spirit and give back to the communities they serve. In past years, they’ve organized clean-up projects at local parks, volunteered at food banks and homeless shelters, provided assistance to low-income seniors, raised funds for charities, and more.

Does your credit union have something special planned for ICU Day? We’d love to hear all about it! Please contact Jenny Miller, NWCUA Communications Manager, to share your ICU Day plans, and you may be featured in an upcoming Anthem story.
