Providence FCU Names New Vice Presidents of Operations & Finance

Providence Federal Credit Union, the premier financial institution serving the employees of Providence Health & Services, announced the hiring of Kasey Rockwell as its new Assistant Vice President of Operations. Rockwell joins the Oregon-based credit union with over 30 years of experience developing staff, overseeing operations, and enhancing member experience.
“When doing what’s right is the company manifesto that matches your personal mantra, it became a no-brainer PFCU would be a great fit for me,” said Rockwell. “I truly enjoy working with SEG (Select Employee Group) based credit unions as they tend to have a niche market to serve and tell their stories well.”
Rockwell is a 2008 graduate of Western CUNA Management School. She lauds extensive experience as a credit union development educator (CUDE), has worked as a director of credit union relations and outreach. Rockwell is a member of the Credit Union for Kids Advisory Board for a local Children’s hospital. Over her 30-plus-year career span, she has continued to foster relationships with the World Council of Credit Unions allowing her to connect various Oregon credit unions with the country of Uzbekistan.

PFCU also welcomes Annie Spencer to its leadership team as the new Assistant Vice President of Finance. Spencer lauds over 15 years of working in the financial services industry with extensive experience with banks and credit unions.
“I am excited to join the PFCU team to continue my work and love of the credit union movement and serve our health care worker-members, who are incredibly valued and needed, especially during a worldwide pandemic,” said Spencer. “It was obvious my values aligned with PFCU who also prides itself on serving all with compassion, dignity, justice, excellence, and integrity.”
Spencer recently received the Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME) certification in 2021 from Credit Union National Association (CUNA). In addition, she holds an MBA from Marylhurst University as well as a BA in Business Administration, Accounting with honors from California State University.

We’re grateful to have talented people like Spencer joining PFCU who truly care about our members and is focused on increasing the integrity and trust within the financial services industry,” said Cate.
“As AVP of Finance, I look forward to managing day-to-day operational accounting activities for PFCU, as well as participating in special projects and ensuring departmental internal controls are adequate in accordance with credit union policies and procedures,” said Spencer. “My focus, of course, will be to accurately report the financial state of PFCU, which will be critical to how we continue to grow and meet our member’s needs.”
When Spencer is not performing her role at PFCU, she enjoys spending time with her son, significant other, and two dogs. You can also find Spencer gardening and cooking her own homegrown vegetables and spending as much time outdoors exploring new hiking trails as possible.
