NWCUA’s Micro-Communities Get Creative with the CU4Kids Silent Auction
September 28, 2021
Next week, credit unions across the Northwest — even those not attending MAXX 2021 — will have the opportunity to bid on some truly excellent items and gift baskets during the virtual Silent Auction, running Oct. 5-6.
Some of those fantastic packages were donated by NWCUA’s passionate Micro-Communities, who never miss a chance to support the Movement’s charity of choice, Credit Unions for kids.
“I love seeing credit unions and Micro-Communities get creative with their CU4Kids giveback strategies,” said Mark Gonzalez, Senior Manager of Member Engagement at NWCUA. “These generous contributions ultimately help children get the life-saving medical care they need.”
The Willamette Chapter of Credit Unions teamed up with YCUP PDX to curate a fabulous Oregon coast weekend getaway complete with a relaxing stay at an ocean-view hotel, family passes to an aquarium, a gift card to a local brewery, and a wine tasting adventure. You won’t want to come back from this mini vacation.
Leading into the chaos of the holidays, the King County Chapter knows everyone could use a stress-free date night. That’s why it generously donated two gift cards for the perfect evening: a Fire and Vine Hospitality card to use toward an exceptional dining experience at iconic restaurants like El Gaucho, Aerlume, and Walla Walla Steak Co., and a Cinemark gift card to catch the latest blockbuster on the big screen. A night out on the town never sounded so good.
There’s so much great stuff up for bid at this year’s Silent Auction, including outstanding items from small businesses across the Northwest. Verity Credit Union, for example, curated three unique gift baskets jam-packed with goods and gift certificates from black-owned businesses in Seattle.
Register to bid in the Silent Auction here, and get ready to raise those virtual paddles for a great cause!
