Amplify Your Community Giveback with #CreditUnionGood!

Every single day, credit unions live the “People Helping People” philosophy. It’s in their DNA – the basis of their founding over a hundred years ago, when Americans needed safe, affordable access to credit.

In times like these, people need more support than ever, and credit unions are continuing to show up in a big way for members, Main Street, and the communities they serve. These impactful stories should be shared far and wide.

Last summer, credit union professionals attending a Marketing, Business Development & Community Outreach Council suggested the Northwest Credit Union Movement create a unified way for credit unions to share their giveback stories. From that, the social media hashtag #CreditUnionGood was born.

When credit unions volunteer or donate funds to help their communities, that’s #CreditUnionGood in action! When they support a local business, team up with a nonprofit to distribute food, or send meals to healthcare workers, that’s also #CreditUnionGood.

Housed on NWCUA’s Marketing Resource Center is a library of customizable branded collateral designed to help you show your members, lawmakers, community partners, and others how you’re giving back, time and time again.

There are more than 50 graphics to choose from across three categories:

  • Supporting Families
  • Keeping Main Street Strong
  • Supporting the Community

Want to post something on Twitter quickly? Use a branded graphic that already has an image. Want to use your own images? Easy! Just download the branded frames and insert your photos. Then just upload those graphics to social media and tag your Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram posts with #CreditUnionGood.
