Bowtie Economist Peers into the Future: What’s in Store for the Economy?
August 10, 2021
Have you heard this one? An economist with a bowtie walks into a bar…
Just kidding, there’s no point in us trying to make economics funny — that’s Dr. Elliot Eisenberg’s specialty! Known in many circles as the “Bowtie Economist,” Eisenberg is an internationally acclaimed economist and public speaker who specializes in making the mysteries and minutia of economics entertaining, educational, and easy to follow.
He’s taking the stage at MAXX 2021 this fall to shed light on how the national and global economies of today are affecting businesses around the world — including your credit union right here in the Northwest. He’ll gaze into his economist’s crystal ball to tell you where the economy is heading and what you can expect in the coming months and years, all with his own funny flair.
An established authority on economics, Dr. Eisenberg is known for his solid expertise, unconventional approach, and impressive collection of eccentric bow ties. He’s revered for engaging and witty presentations that bring a colorful perspective to the often-dry subject matter, leaving audience members feeling enthusiastic, informed, and thoroughly entertained.
Dr. Eisenberg has spoken to hundreds of business groups and associations, serving as keynote speaker on topics including economic forecasts, the economic impact of industries such as homebuilding, consequences of government regulation, and other current economic issues.
He’s the Founder, President, and Chief Economist for Graphs and Laughs, LLC, a Miami-based economics consultancy where he provides economic forecasts through a daily blog. Dr. Eisenberg was formerly a Senior Economist with the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C., and has authored more than 100 articles. His research and opinions have been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, Bureau of National Affairs, Forbes, and Fortune, among other publications, and he serves on the Expert Advisory Board of Mortgage Market Guide. He’s a regular consultant to several large real estate associations, financial institutions, and investment advisory groups.
Catch Dr. Eisenberg (and his bowtie of the day) on the MAXX mainstage Wednesday, Oct. 6, to get the 411 on today’s economic landscape while enjoying a few laughs. Visit the event page online for more details and to register today.
