NWCUA Concludes 2021 Board Election Cycle

The Northwest Credit Union Association has concluded its 2021 Board Election Cycle and is pleased to announce updates to the Board.

In March, NWCUA’s Nominating Committee announced two NWCUA Board of Directors’ seats were up for election. Two incumbents were eligible and interested in re-election: Christopher Bradberry, President and CEO of Fibre Federal Credit Union; and Veronica Ervin, SVP/Chief Risk Officer at OnPoint Community Credit Union.

As there were no additional nominations this year, Bradberry and Ervin were elected to the Board by acclamation on May 13, and will begin their next term after the annual Board Reorganization Meeting in October.

Bradberry joined the Longview, Washington-based credit union in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer and was tapped to be Fibre Federal’s President and CEO in 2014. Since 2019, he has advanced credit union advocacy by serving on NWCUA’s Defense Fund Oversight Sub-Committee and the Washington Governmental Affairs Committee. Recently, he was appointed as the CULAC Trustee for Washington state.

Ervin has served in several key positions with OnPoint over the past 22 years, including as Chief Compliance Officer, Compliance Director, and Controller. She was promoted to VP/Compliance Director in 2012, building a centralized compliance team in response to the rapidly changing regulatory environment stemming from the financial crisis. Ervin was promoted into her SVP role in 2016.

She currently serves on NWCUA’s Oregon Governmental Affairs Committee, the Regulatory Advisory Sub-Committee, and the Oregon State Issues Work Group, where she helps to influence legislative outcomes impacting credit unions. Supporting her community, she serves as Vice Chair, Board of Trustees, for Oregon Future Business Leaders of America — a state-wide, student-led, nonprofit organization that develops student leaders for careers in business.
