It’s that Time of Year: Nominations for 2021 Summit Awards Now Open
Credit unions have until July 2 to nominate an outstanding credit union or individual to be recognized at this year’s Summit Awards Dinner & Gala.
Awards season has arrived! Your Northwest Credit Union Association is pleased to announce nominations are being accepted for the 2021 Summit Awards Dinner & Gala, which will take place at this year’s MAXX Convention in Boise.
As not-for-profit cooperative credit unions in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, you have accomplished so much over the past 18 months. You worked tirelessly to serve your members and communities when they needed help the most, embracing the “People Helping People” philosophy like never before. You’ve made great strides in the areas of member service, community impact, and advocacy, and your contributions have proven vital to advancing the Credit Union Movement at large.
These incredible achievements deserve to be honored and celebrated on a grand stage!
NWCUA encourages you to nominate an outstanding credit union or individual to be recognized at this year’s must-attend celebration on Oct. 7.
The 2021 program includes several categories you’ve come to know and anticipate, as well as the new Community Impact Award, designed to shine a special light on a credit union’s comprehensive approach to community impact and social responsibility.
Your Association also has reintroduced an award specifically recognizing a credit union professional who demonstrates commitment and leadership in credit union advocacy. The Summit Advocate Award winner will be selected based on internal criteria by NWCUA’s advocacy team, so no nomination is needed.
Another change to this year’s program is the addition of the Summit Icon Award, the final award of the evening. The Summit Icon represents a credit union professional who exemplifies outstanding overall and sustained leadership in the Credit Union Movement with respect to advocacy efforts, social responsibility, credit union philosophy, and community impact.
“We’re thrilled to reunite the Northwest credit union family at MAXX this fall, and the Awards Gala is not to be missed,” said Christine Ruzzi, AVP, Enterprise Engagement. “We hope you’ll don your finest attire, raise a champagne glass, and join us for an inspiring night filled with moving stories that showcase your many accomplishments.”
Entries for the following Summit Awards will be accepted through July 2:
- Cooperation in Action
- Members on Main Street
- Community Impact
- Distinguished Director
- Young Credit Union Leader of the Year
