Three Credit Unions Top Idaho’s 2021 Best Places to Work List
Idaho Central, East Idaho, and Mountain America have ranked high on the list for the last decade, cementing their reputation as top employers in the state.
It’s no secret credit unions are great financial services partners, but they’re also fantastic places to work. Year after year, they rank high on lists of the best workplaces in the country.
This year, credit unions once again topped the annual Best Places to Work in Idaho ranking.
Idaho Central Credit Union took first place in the “macro” category, and East Idaho Credit Union, based in Idaho Falls, was the number one employer in the “large” category. Mountain America Credit Union, which is headquartered in Utah but has branches across the Gem State, also scored in the top five as a large employer.

All three credit unions have been recognized in the top ten Best Places to Work for the last several years, often outranking other large companies like T-Mobile and Intuit.

Mountain America President and CEO, Sterling Nielsen, said the credit union is honored to have its Idaho employees rate it as a top workplace for the past decade.

Honorees of the Best Places to Work in Idaho are determined by their employees’ satisfaction and feedback. They’re chosen in each of the five size categories based on workforce size: micro (10 to 19 employees), small (20 to 49), medium (50 to 99), large (100 to 249), and macro (250 or up).
