Salal Credit Union Names Dr. Judy Loveless-Morris Chief Diversity and People Officer

Seattle-based Salal Credit Union recently hired Dr. Judy Loveless-Morris as Chief Diversity and People Officer. Dr. Loveless-Morris brings to the position nearly 20 years’ experience in the fields of Management, Education, Research, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). In her new role, she will lead Salal’s Human Resources and DEI strategies and efforts.

Dr. Loveless-Morris has significant knowledge and experience developing DEI strategies, policies, and guidance within organizations. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University, and has a Master’s in Sociology and Statistics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology, both from the University of Washington.

“We are thrilled to bring Dr. Loveless-Morris’s experience and expertise in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to Salal,” said President and CEO, Russ Rosendal. “Her diverse background in Education and Administration brings a new skillset to Salal that we are excited to learn from. We look forward to her efforts in helping Salal live out our commitment to building an equitable and inclusive culture at our credit union and in the communities we serve”

Prior to joining Salal, Dr. Loveless-Morris served as the Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Tacoma Community College, where she was the principal advisor to senior leadership on matters relating to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Before that, she spent time as the Dean of Academic instruction and Interim Chief Diversity and Equity Officer at Clover Park Technical College.
