WA Advocates to Highlight CU Difference at Virtual Day at the Capitol

The 2021 virtual Washington Credit Union Day at the Capitol is just over a week away, and advocates across the state are gearing up to shine a light on the incredible Credit Union Difference.

The virtual setting makes it easier than ever for new and seasoned advocates to participate in one of the year’s most essential advocacy events. Any credit union employee passionate about the Movement can join in, hear how credit union priorities are advancing, and make their voice heard. Credit unions are encouraged to rally their teams and do their part to protect credit union initiatives and expand powers in the state charter.

Throughout the must-attend event on Feb. 18, advocates will discuss key topics and updates for 2021, hear from guest elected officials, review advocacy training, hear insights from regulatory and legislative leaders, and so much more.

“Legislators genuinely appreciate hearing directly from credit union advocates that are working day in and day out to serve the needs of their constituents,” said Joe Adamack, VP, Legislative Affairs for Washington. “This is an incredibly valuable opportunity to build upon or establish new relationships with your elected officials, share the stories of your credit union’s impact, and support credit union priority legislation.”

Washington Credit Union Day at the Capitol will provide attendees with everything they need to prepare for upcoming virtual meetings with state representatives, which will be coordinated and scheduled that afternoon, with some coming in the days and weeks following.
