Councils Offer Invaluable Networking and Professional Development Opportunities

When credit union professionals participate in Northwest Credit Union Association’s Councils, they advance their professional development and further the Movement. Now’s the time to sign up for 2021 Councils. The year’s lineup is robust and offers timely information that professionals need to strengthen their credit union’s operations.

Each Council meets three times over the course of the year, providing a forum for credit union professionals to gather virtually with peers in their shared discipline to exchange insight, discuss challenges, brainstorm possible solutions, and keep up with the latest industry trends.

New to the already-rich lineup this year is the Financial Strategy Council, added in response to member feedback. This Council explores topics such as maintaining earnings, navigating the changing economy, diversifying portfolios, hedging risk, and more. The Council’s programming aligns with the valuable content offered in CU Learning TRAXX Financial Strategy sessions, which are available to stream on-demand through March.

“The Association is pleased to offer the Financial Strategy Council this year,” said John Trull, Vice President of Regulatory Advocacy. “It’s a great avenue to bring together Northwest CFOs, CEOs, credit and investment officers, and accounting professionals to examine and discuss the rapidly evolving world of financial services.”

NWCUA member credit unions can take advantage of a Power User Membership, which provides an unlimited number of seats at the virtual table.

Other registration options are available, too. Credit union professionals can purchase a membership to attend all Council meetings in a specific discipline or register for individual meetings for a flat rate of $119. View all 2021 membership options online.

The 2021 Councils are a must-attend, so mark your calendars and register today.
