Get Ready to “Celebrate U” on Dec. 2
Northwest credit unions come together to honor a year of exemplary service, innovation, and community giving.
Every day, Northwest credit union professionals go above and beyond to support members, Main Street, and their communities.
Furiously processing Paycheck Protection Program loans, dedicated credit union employees helped businesses stay open, keeping employees on the payroll. They poured their hearts and souls into making sure members had access to emergency funding and loan relief, so that they could make rent or mortgage payments and keep the lights on.
Credit unions shifted gears, temporarily closing branches and sending staff home to work remotely while ensuring they felt supported and safe. And they made generous donations to community partners, as well as to their own employees, when so many were displaced during the September wildfires.
It was an inspiring, whirlwind of a year — and Northwest credit unions deserve celebrating!
On Dec. 2, the Northwest credit union family will come together to applaud your efforts during “Celebrating U,” An Online Gala Recognizing Credit Unions’ Extraordinary Service.
“Northwest credit unions moved mountains to ensure members were taken care of during challenging times,” said Troy Stang, NWCUA President and CEO. “This year reinforced what we already know — credit unions always put members first, making them the best choice as financial partners.”
In addition to recognizing all credit unions’ accomplished in 2020, this year’s regional CUNA award winners will have a special place in the ceremony.
“The region’s credit unions will shine during ‘Celebrating U,’” Stang said. “And rightfully so — they made a significant and positive difference in millions of lives this year.”
The event is complimentary to members, and all NWCUA member credit union staff are encouraged to attend. The hour-long celebration kicks off at 3:30 p.m. PST, 4:30 p.m. MST.
Get ready for tears, laughter, and a lot of applause!
