Advantis Credit Union Recognized as Top Corporate Philanthropist by the Portland Business Journal

Advantis Credit Union, based in Portland, was recently named as a top corporate philanthropist in the large company category by the Portland Business Journal. The credit union was honored at the annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards event on Oct. 14 and ranked seventh overall among large companies. The annual award celebrates companies that give back through volunteer programs and through financial support. This is the 10th consecutive year that Advantis has been recognized by the Business Journal for its community engagement efforts.

In 2019, Advantis served 1,243 employee volunteer service hours at local nonprofits and schools. Additionally, Advantis provided $50,000 in grants to six local nonprofits through Grow: The Advantis Community Fund, and contributed more than $163,800 in grants, sponsorships, and employee donation match funds.

“This award is a reflection of Advantis’ culture of supporting nonprofits that work to build our community, and celebrates our employees who volunteer their time,” said Jason Werts, President and CEO. “It’s an honor to be recognized for initiatives that we are so proud of at Advantis.”
