YCUP to Host Virtual Credit Union Advocacy Summit Tomorrow
The event will bring together top credit union advocates and provide key federal and Oregon state advocacy updates.
The Young Credit Union Professionals of Oregon and SW Washington (YCUP) will host a virtual Credit Union Advocacy Summit tomorrow evening, where they’ll discuss important federal and state advocacy topics with CUNA’s Chief Advocacy Officer, Ryan Donovan; Senator Rob Wagner of Oregon Senate District 19; and Northwest Credit Union Association representatives.
The Oct. 28 event, to run from 7 to 8 p.m. PTD, 8 to 9 p.m., MDT., provides a space for credit unions to connect, collaborate, and educate on the importance of industry advocacy, and discuss the future of the Credit Union Movement.
“Our YCUP Board has worked tirelessly this year to offer constructive resources and gatherings to Pacific Northwest shops and beyond,” said Michael Murdoch, YCUP President and Communications Specialist at Wauna Credit Union. “I am so very thankful of CUNA and NWCUA for their continued support of these initiatives and look forward to the positive momentum our industry continues to forge.”
This event is free and open to all Northwest credit union representatives. To register, please visit YCUP online.
Additionally, YCUP is fundraising for Portland-area organization, New Avenues for Youth, a nonprofit dedicated to the prevention and intervention of youth homelessness. Credit unions can donate by visiting YCUP’s fundraising page or via Venmo @YCUP-1. For questions, please contact YCUP at [email protected].
