Indulge in Delectable Chocolate and Wine for a Good Cause at this Year’s Virtual CU4Kids Auction
October 6, 2020
What’s better than wine and chocolate? Raising money for children in need of life-saving care, of course. During this year’s virtual Credit Unions for Kids auction, you can indulge in all three!
“Cheers and Chocolates — Coming Together for CU4Kids” will be held Nov. 12, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. PST (6:30 to 8:00 p.m. MST). Honoring this year’s Miracle Child, Elle Fischer, the auction will include live auction items, bidding on the ever-popular electric toy cars, and a virtual wine and chocolate tasting led by an expert vintner and chocolatier.
Sample a curated collection of mouth-watering confections from Boise, Idaho-based artisan chocolate shop, The Chocolat Bar. Inspired by their love of travel and appreciation of the bountiful Treasure Valley, owners Jason and Trish use fresh, local ingredients to craft delicious flavor combinations and delightful textures. All chocolate treats, from rich, ganache-filled truffles to smooth, buttery caramels, are made right there in the shop.
If liquid decadence is more your style, enjoy a sampling of wines from the family-owned, 2000-case Frichette Winery, located in Benton City, Washington. Ever since owners Greg and Shae Frichette opened their tasting room in 2013, Frichette wines have showcased the best of the Red Mountain American Viticultural Area, with crisp, citrusy whites; deep, berry reds; and everything in between.
Both The Chocolat Bar and Frichette Winery are experienced in hosting virtual tastings and excited to partner with one another for this meaningful fundraiser.
Attendees may choose to sample chocolate, wine, or both, and their selections will be mailed directly to their door prior to the auction. Those who opt for wine will receive one bottle of red wine and one bottle of white. Not a fan of wine or chocolate? Purchase a ticket to the live auction, indulgence free.
Credit unions are encouraged to invite members of their Board for an evening of wining, dining, and raising their paddles for Credit Unions for Kids. So mark your calendars and visit the auction online to purchase your ticket today!
