How Will You Lead Through the Next Crisis?
Join CU Learning TRAXX on Aug. 5 to hear from experts as they shed light on effective leadership, the future of the economy, enterprise risk management, and much more.
In just over a week, the first day of CU Learning TRAXX will kick off with five information-packed sessions covering a variety of just-in-time issues facing the credit union industry, including economic recovery; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and planning for an uncertain future.
On Aug. 5, credit union professionals will hear from several dynamic and engaging speakers, including Kevin Parker, franchise owner of Dutch Bros. Coffee in Spokane and former Washington State representative, who will be leading a timely discussion in the first session of Inform the Future: How Will You Lead Through the Next Crisis?
A former facilitator at Harvard Kennedy School, Parker will break down the institution’s world-renowned leadership model, which Fortune 500 companies across the country swear by, and demonstrate ways to implement it at a credit union.
Both new and experienced credit union leaders will walk away from this session with fresh insight on building resilient teams and equipping staff with the tools and training they need to nimbly navigate even the toughest crises or conversations.
Parker is a former advisor to a senior member of U.S. Congress and spent his career developing expertise in servant leadership, fiscal sustainability, and building a strong company culture. He’s the recipient of more than 30 awards recognizing him for his leadership efforts in business and the community, including Spokane Citizen of the Year, Washington State Citizen of the Year, the Community Trustee Award, and Philanthropist of the Year for Mid-Size businesses at the Spokane Philanthropy Awards.
Concurrent with his work at Dutch Bros., Parker teaches organizational behavior, leadership, and entrepreneurship at Whitworth University.
“I have always loved getting to work with and learn from Kevin. His extensive leadership background makes him an incredible and fascinating speaker,” said Samantha Beeler, VP, Advocacy at the Northwest Credit Union Association. “His insight always leaves me encouraged and excited to take on the next challenge or big idea.”
