When Sells joined Quontic in 2018, he was a newcomer in the banking industry. But his extensive background in technology and marketing helped him shake the cobwebs out of the bank’s dated and sluggish systems, transforming it from a single-branch community bank to a $400 million-asset leading digital bank in less than a year.

His digital innovation in banking earned him the 2020 American Banker’s Digital Banker of the Year Award, and he also was named on Independent Bankers’ 40 under 40 list for emerging community banking leaders. Before he joined Quontic, Sells served as the CEO and owner of the Sells Group, a marketing and technology agency based in Indianapolis that helps clients with digital customer acquisition. The Sells Group ranked #701 in 2016 for Inc.’s 5000 fastest growing businesses.
