USAgencies Credit Union is Now a Community Chartered Credit Union


USAgencies Credit Union, in Portland, expanded their field of membership to serve individuals that live or work in these four Oregon counties: Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, and Marion. 

USAgencies was founded in 1936 as Portland Federal Employee’s Credit Union. Forty-five founding members came together with the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” to form a financial cooperative that could provide them with better banking solutions. The credit union’s primary field of membership included active civilian federal employees and their family members, regardless of location, and retired federal employees who reside in Oregon.

USAgencies is excited to serve more people in the greater Portland metro community with the broadened field of membership. The credit union is experiencing some positive opportunities to grow and expand services to their members.

“This is a wonderful step for our credit union, its members, and the community as a whole. We will be able to serve and reach more people with this change. The staff and the board of directors are excited to increase the impact we have on our neighbors as a financial cooperative that prides itself on caring for its members.” says Justin Olson, President and CEO.
