2020 Advocacy Training

Have you ever wondered what our collective advocacy as a Credit Union movement looks like? During this pandemic, we’ve seen this firsthand as elected officials at both the state and federal levels meet with credit union leaders to learn more about what they are doing. Not only have credit unions across the country stepped up to help members in this time, they’ve advocated for their members by ensuring elected officials know about what credit unions do in times of crisis.

This summer, you have the opportunity to join us in July for a special two-day virtual advocacy training event to learn how you can become a better advocate for the Credit Union movement. Whether you are a seasoned advocate or this is your first exposure to advocacy, this training is for you.

The first session (July 13th or 14th) will take place in smaller groups and emphasize the power of telling your story and include examples of advocating with legislators. The second session (July 15th) will pull all attendees together for a deeper dive into what advocacy looks like as you hear from professionals who advocate daily on behalf of the movement at both the state and federal levels.

Mark your calendars for July 13, 14, and 15th. Follow this link for more information and to get registered. See you there!
