This spring, the Northwest Credit Union Association will host two important seminars to help credit unions navigate legal updates in the areas of Compliance and HR.
This year’s Compliance Legal Update Seminar will be held at Unitus Community Credit Union in Tigard, Oregon, May 14. Participants may attend in person or join the seminar via video conferencing at NWCUA’s Boise or SeaTac offices. The seminar will feature industry experts from premier credit union law firm, Farleigh Wada Witt, who will share information on the following key topics:

- DoD MLA question #2 change
- NCUA residential RE appraisals
- Subordinate debt
- FinCEN CTRs for sole proprietorships
- MRB/Hemp update issues

- RDC-USAA litigation update

The HR Legal Update Seminar will take place at Consolidated Community Credit Union in Portland, June 10. Attendees can attend in person or participate virtually from NWCUA’s Boise or SeaTac offices. The seminar will give credit unions insight to the current legal environment, including immediate and anticipated changes to laws likely to impact Northwest credit union employees this year. Industry experts at Farleigh Wada Witt will share key insight to help credit unions develop strategies around the changes and challenges of employment law.
