NWCUA’s 2020 Councils to Launch in March


The Northwest Credit Union Association’s 2020 Council Program will kick off next month, providing a forum for credit union professionals to connect, share experiences, and stay current on the latest industry trends.

The meetings, to be held at NWCUA offices and online over video conferencing, give professionals a chance to dive into their specialties with peers and experts. Lunch is provided for those attending in person.

NWCUA member credit unions can take advantage of a Power User Membership, which allows a credit union to send an unlimited number of staff to all council meetings. Credit union professionals may also purchase a membership to attend all council meetings in a specific discipline or register for individual meetings for a flat rate of $99.

The 2020 councils are not to be missed, so mark your calendars and register today.

  • Collectors Council
    Share challenges, successes, and trends with collection and recovery peers to work toward the common goal of keeping delinquencies low and recoveries high.

  • Commercial Services Council
    Connect with credit union professionals involved in similar programs and discuss best practices, business deposits, loan products, business development, marketing strategies specific to MBL, and commercial service programs.

  • Compliance Council
    Meet with your counterparts from other credit unions to share upcoming regulatory changes and devise strategies to implement them.

  • HR & Trainers Council
    Learn about new techniques, preview other credit unions’ practices, and share professional presentations with other human resources and training professionals in this self-directed forum.

  • Lenders Council
    Get together with other lending professionals focused on the current and future lending needs of Northwest credit unions to stay on top of matters affecting the lending industry.

  • Marketing, Business Development & Community Outreach Council
    Learn about best practices on promoting credit unions and their members’ stories. Meet with professionals in the marketing, communications, media relations, public relations, business development, and community outreach fields to network and share obstacles and triumphs in promoting  credit union awareness, products, and services.

  • Risk Management Council
    Gather with professionals in various risk-related roles to foster communication and identify and reduce the many areas of risk that credit unions face daily.
