Developing leadership is key to credit union success, and whether they are already in charge of a team or interested in moving up to a higher role, Northwest credit union professionals can hone their leadership skills through DDJ Myers’ award-winning Emerging Leaders Program (ELP).

The Emerging Leaders Program prepares future senior leadership for their roles by helping them build the skills they need to coordinate and execute strategies and tactics for their organizations.

Participants learn, practice, and shift their perspectives on leadership in a hands-on learning environment where they work directly with their peers and coaches. They get nine days of face-to-face training, with executive-level coaching and mentoring in between sessions, and are guided through a process to develop and implement a project that is intimately linked to their respective organization’s strategic plan.

On Feb. 27, DDJ Myers and the Northwest Credit Union Association will co-host an hour-long webinar addressing the long-term organizational benefit of investing in leadership development. This webinar will include a structural overview of the course, led by Program Coach Tim Tolliver, and will feature four ELP alumni sharing their unique experiences and key takeaways from the program.
