OCCU Executive Named to CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee
The council is responsible for planning CUNA’s lending conferences, member resources, and member engagement.
Oregon Community Credit Union’s Ethan Nelson, VP Credit Administration, has been named to the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Lending Council Executive Committee. CUNA Councils provide resources, information, networking, and career development to credit union CEOs and professionals. The CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee is responsible for planning CUNA lending conferences, member resources, and member engagement.
Nelson is VP of Credit Administration for the $1.8B OCCU, headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. Nelson leads OCCU’s lending administrative functions including credit policy, underwriting, collections, asset remarketing and litigation, and business credit analysis.
His 20-year career with OCCU has included serving in a variety of lending roles, including mortgage lending, consumer underwriting, and direct member service. A Eugene-area native, Nelson holds a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University.
He is currently a member of the CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee, the CUNA Lending Council Conference Committee, and the Revolving Loan Fund Committee for the city of Junction City, Oregon. His previous public service includes serving as an elected City Councilor for Junction City twice and serving on the city’s Planning Commission and Budget Committee.
