MAXX 2019: Small Credit Unions will Convene at Two Key Events

Credit union leaders gather at the Small Credit Union Roundtable at MAXX 2018 in Tacoma.

The Northwest Credit Union Association is committed to helping small credit unions advance their success by working to champion and invest in their initiatives. To do that, NWCUA added more small credit union event offerings throughout 2019.

“This year, we expanded our small credit union programming to include two video meetings in addition to our bi-annual, in-person roundtables,” said Carmen Vigil, NWCUA Director of Cooperative Momentum. “It has been such a pleasure to connect with the small credit union community on a more regular basis and we look forward to continuing that momentum with two events at MAXX this year.”

During the MAXX Convention, small credit unions from across the Northwest will convene for two focused events, making it the largest small credit union gathering event in the region.

On Monday, Oct. 14, small credit union leaders and their teams will gather at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane for the Small Credit Union Roundtable Reception from 5 to 7 p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet with peers and network in a fun, casual setting. The reception is sponsored by Strategic Link partners, Your Credit Union Partner and CUNA Mutual Group.

During the reception, credit unions will have an opportunity discuss the top priorities they want to cover the next day during the Small Credit Union Roundtable.

The Roundtable will begin at 9 a.m., Oct. 15, also at the Davenport Grand Hotel. During this year’s event, your Association is asking all participants to roll up their sleeves and bring their operational challenges and successes to share with the group. Attendees will also hear from Scott Butterfield with Your Credit Union Partner about top strategic priorities for credit unions to consider as they head into 2020.

The Roundtable will run until 1 p.m., and separate registration is required to attend both events. The MAXX Opening General Session will begin Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. Questions about either small credit union event may be directed to Carmen Vigil. There’s still time to register for MAXX, so don’t miss the opportunity!
