NDAA: Take Action Now

Credit Unions in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho have the great opportunity to serve members throughout the northwest and to meet their financial needs. This includes the important work done in support of military members living on bases in our region. Financial health and stability are vitally important for our military members and their families. Section 2821 of the Senate National Defense Authorization Bill puts that financial health and stability in jeopardy.

Section 2821 of the Senate National Defense Authorization Bill would allow banks to have a rent-free access to establish branches on military bases. If not removed, it would make it easier for banks like Wells Fargo and Bank of America to bring their business to military bases. We have been front row witnesses to how these banks have treated their customers in the past few years and we know that their services do not meet the standard established by credit unions. Contact your Member of Congress now and tell them to reject Section 2821 of the Senate National Defense Authorization Bill.
