Upcoming Credit Union Golf Tournaments Benefit Northwest Children
Tournaments around the region happening Sept. 5, 6, and 13 in Bremerton, Wash., Blackfoot, Idaho, and Spokane.
There’s still lots more summer left, and that means there’s still more time to golf for a good cause in the Northwest. Check out these three golf tournaments coming up in September and register.
The annual Kitsap, Evergreen, and Pierce Chapters Golf Tournament is Thursday, Sept. 5 and is still accepting players. Those who compete in the tournament will help raise funds for Credit Unions for Kids to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital. Over the years, this tournament has grown from being sponsored by a single tournament to a collaborative effort between three local Chapters and dozens of credit unions and business partners.
Registrations are open to credit union professionals, vendors, and friends of the Credit Union Movement. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington.
To register or for more information, visit the Kitsap County Chapter of Credit Union’s website.
Two other golf tournaments benefitting Credit Unions for Kids are also coming up and still accepting players through late August. Westmark Credit Union’s tournament will be held Sept. 6 at Blackfoot Municipal Golf Course in Blackfoot, Idaho. To register, follow this link. All proceeds raised at Westmark’s 17th Annual Credit Unions for Kids Golf Tournament will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network, benefitting Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City and St. Luke’s Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.
And the Spokane Chapter of Credit Unions will host its tournament on Sept. 13 at The Creek at Wandermere Golf Course in Spokane. The tournament benefits Credit Unions for Kids as well as the Credit Union Legislative Action Fund. To register, visit the Chapter’s website.
“The Credit Unions for Kids charity was founded on the idea of raising money one dollar at a time to benefit the families that need our help the most,” said Carmen Vigil, NWCUA Director of Cooperative Momentum. “That spirit is represented well in the fun tradition of local golf tournament fundraisers.”
