MAXX 2019: Former Journalist Dale Dixon Knows a Good Story
He’ll dive into how credit unions can tell theirs at MAXX.
Stories are the most powerful force of change, but credit unions sometimes struggle to find what makes them special in a crowded market and how to share that with their communities.
Credit unions help people improve their financial lives every day, whether it be through lower-interest loans, community service, or financial education.
They have outstanding stories to tell, and communications consultant Dale Dixon will help them do exactly that at MAXX 2019, to be held in Spokane Oct. 15-17. He’ll show attendees how they may attract new members and gain greater awareness in their communities.
In the session, “Tapping Our Potential – Engage the Power of Story,” Dixon will help credit union leaders plug into their communication skills and talents to share these stories far and wide. He’ll be on the main stage Oct. 15 from 3-5 p.m.
Dixon is a former broadcast journalist who worked as a reporter, anchor, and news director for CBS, ABC, and NBC affiliates. He has taken the lessons he learned in journalism to help executive leaders communicate effectively in different venues, deliver effective presentations, and build relationships with the media.
He’s written blog posts and books on various communication topics, including “Sweating Bullets: A Story about Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking.” He also co-hosts two leadership podcasts.
