Members of the community voted on the top nine finalists to give five winners a combined total of $15,000. Winners were presented at the Boise Hawks home game on Aug. 10. Prize money will be donated to the charity or non-profit organization of the winners’ choosings.
Pioneer Federal Credit Union introduced the Community Pioneer program in 2012 to recognize members of the community who are giving, leading, inspiring, or volunteering to make a difference in their community. The initiative is meant to give back to organizations that make a difference to our quality of life.
“Idaho is such a great place to live, our list of nominees this year reinforces that sentiment,” says Curt Perry, Pioneer President and CEO. “Thank you to everyone who nominated a Community Pioneer and voted for their community heroes. I would like to thank each nominee for the tremendous dedication and impact they are making within their community and our great state. We are excited for our winners and honored to contribute to their causes. We hope our contribution can play a role in expanding their reach and supporting their admirable work and mission.”
