YCUP and Cascadia Chapter of Credit Unions Presents Check to Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital
Hops for Hope raised $11,000 for children in need of lifesaving medical care.
Last week, members of the Young Credit Union Professionals of Oregon and SW Washington (YCUP) and Cascadia Chapter of Credit Unions presented $11,000 in donations to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital after raising funds for the hospital during the annual Hops for Hope fundraiser, held in June.
Doernbecher, located in Portland, is part of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Hops for Hope is held annually, and the funds were raised for Credit Unions for Kids. Since its founding in the Northwest in 1986, and its adoption as credit unions’ national “charity of choice” in 1996, Credit Unions for Kids has raised more than $185 million for 170 CMN hospitals across the nation.
