Forbes Releases its 2019 Top Credit Unions List
Credit unions in the Northwest continue to be a top option for consumers looking for the ideal financial partner.
To prepare the list, Forbes partnered with research firm Statista to survey 25,000 Americans about their current and previous experiences with financial institutions and rank them on overall satisfaction, trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice. Here are our region’s top five credit unions by state, according to Forbes:
Topping the list for Idaho’s credit unions was Spokane Teachers Credit Union, which is headquartered in Liberty Lake, Washington, but has branches in Idaho.
“We’ve been working hard to provide north Idaho members with the outstanding service our Washington members expect, so it means a lot to us that we were ranked No. 1 based partly on member satisfaction,” said Ezra Eckhardt, STCU President and CEO “We’re building our sixth north Idaho branch now because we know our members want to be able to interact with real employees close to home.”
Second on the Forbes list was Nampa, Idaho’s Clarity Credit Union.
“We were so excited to see we made the list for the second year in a row! It means a lot us that our members think so highly of us and it vindicates all the hard work we do on those behalf,” said CFO Nick Fugal. “We were humbled to see the impact we made as a small credit union of only 42 employees!”
Rounding out the top five in Idaho were:
