Credit Unions Have Until Friday to Nominate for NWCUA Awards at MAXX

6/25/2019Your Association’s Awards Gala is a time of celebration, bringing the Northwest credit union family together to celebrate your achievements.
The Northwest Credit Union Association is extending its awards nomination period to June 28 so that our credit union family can celebrate all you do for your members throughout the week of MAXX, to be held Oct. 15-17 in Spokane.
“It’s an honor to recognize our members’ achievements at MAXX, where they may celebrate with their peers,” said Christine Ruzzi, AVP of Enterprise Engagement Resources. “The nominations are always so inspiring and a great reminder of why we do what we do in the Credit Union industry.”
We encourage you to submit nominations now! Each year, you make positive changes in the lives of others. We celebrate these achievements with a variety of awards.

- Cooperation in Action
- Members on Main Street
- Young Credit Union Leader of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement
- Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service
- Louise Herring Philosophy in Action
- Desjardins Youth Financial Education
- Desjardins Adult Financial Education
- Philosophy in Action
LEAP nominations will be accepted for all four categories, as well as for a fifth category, which goes to a Micro-Community that exemplifies all four of the LEAP pillars. Any Northwest credit union Micro-Community can be nominated for any of the five awards. Those groups include credit union chapters, young professional networking groups, Credit Union Development Educators, and sister societies of the Northwest Chapter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network.
