Advocacy Training and the 2019 East Idaho Credit Union Annual Meeting

Members of the NWCUA Advocacy team had the opportunity to visit the Idaho Falls region to present two Advocacy training sessions for employees at East Idaho Credit Union.  The trainings emphasized how employees can be credit union advocates by telling the credit union story in their communities and leveraging relationships with elected officials to ensure there is greater awareness of the credit union difference.

East Idaho Credit Union was recently recognized as Best Places to Work in Idaho for the second year in a row and is a great example of a credit union making a difference by providing financial services in areas where financial services are not readily available. Among the highlights was an invitation to join members of East Idaho Credit Union at their 2019 Annual Meeting with over 300 members in attendance.

Samantha Beeler, VP Advocacy, and Ryan Fitzgerald, VP Legislative Affairs for NWCUA, spoke about the credit union difference and the role members have in telling the credit union story in their communities and beyond.
