Federal Advocacy Update

The past week in D.C. has been very busy, and the NWCUA has engaged in a number of important hearings, watch the recording below:

The Senate Banking Committee held two hearings on Chairman Crapo’s (R – ID) Housing Finance Reform proposals. The NWCUA shared data and credit union priorities with the Chairman and committee staff prior to the hearing, where the full committee heard from a total of 12 witnesses over two days. 

The House Financial Services Committee held two hearings this week on The Administration of Disaster Recovery Funds in the Wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria & The Fair Housing Act: Reviewing Efforts to Eliminate Discrimination and Promote Opportunity in Housing
