FHLB Member Meetings to be Held in Portland, Seattle, and Spokane Next Month

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is hosting its regional Member Meetings this spring, with three to be held in the Northwest.

The FHLB will host its meetings in Portland on April 5, in Seattle April 10, and in Spokane on April 11. Northwest credit unions are encouraged to attend these no-cost meetings. The FHLB, a resource for financial institutions, is a cooperative owned by member credit unions and banks. It provides funding and liquidity and helps support credit union and bank mortgage lending, economic development, and affordable housing solutions.

This year’s meetings will concentrate on balance sheet management. Attendees will focus on how they are meeting the challenges of changes in the interest rate and economic cycle and be given access to new tools, including follow-up webinars and a framework for liquidity stress testing. For a list of speakers, visit FHLB online.

Continuing Professional Education credit will be available for interested members, and attendees may register for meetings in multiple locations.
