Credit Union Charter Update Bill Advances
March 14, 2019
Following unanimous passage by the House of Representatives, House Bill 1247 — credit union’s priority legislation this year — was the subject of a public hearing this morning in Olympia. Similar to the House hearing no one signed into opposed to the bill and Joe Adamack NWCUA’s VP of Legislative Affairs in Washington, testified in support. Following the hearing the bill was also unanimously approved during executive session and now moves along to the Rules Committee. We are in a very strong position to have the bill voted on by the full Senate in the coming weeks and continue to receive positive feedback from legislators.
