The deadline to apply for Strategic Link’s 2019 Emerging Leaders scholarship has been extended to Jan. 31. The program is a great opportunity for a credit union professional who wants to grow their career and develop leadership skills.

Emerging Leaders participants attend a series of three-day training sessions that start in the spring and end in early fall, with three sessions total. During the training workshops, attendees collaborate with industry colleagues and build strong professional relationships with peers from other credit unions. They focus on strategic leadership skills, effective assessment and feedback processes, leadership models, language, and executive presence.

Participants also receive executive-level coaching and mentoring between training sessions. By the final week of the course, each participant presents a leadership project, applying their new skills to support their credit union and community.

The 2019 sessions will be held April 3-5, June 26-28, and Sept. 18-20 in Seattle. To find out more about the program and hear from past graduates, watch this informational webinar. The deadline to register for the 2019 Emerging Leaders Program is March 7. To apply for the scholarship, please fill out an online form. To qualify, applicants must produce a short YouTube video introducing themselves and explaining how they go above and beyond to serve their credit union’s members. Applicants who prefer to submit an essay (1,000 words or less) versus a video may also choose that option.  Submit videos or essays to Holly Miller by no later than Jan. 31.
