NWCUA Testifies Before the Idaho EORAC

The NWCUA Advocacy team provided testimony to the Idaho Legislative “budget setters” on Thursday afternoon regarding the past year’s growth and the positive impacts that Idaho credit unions have on the overall economy of Idaho. The Economic Impact and Revenue Assessment Committee (EORAC) is an interim legislative committee that meets just prior to the start of the annual legislative session in order to jump start the budget setting process for the State. A proposed budget is then outlined by the Governor in the State of the State and then negotiations take place between the Governor, Legislature and State Agencies in order to finalize a balanced budget before adjourning the legislative session each year.

This is the fourth year in a row that the NWCUA has been invited to testify before the committee and the team was able to share a very small sneak peek of the economic impact figures for Idaho CUs, which are currently being finalized by EcoNorthwest and will be released later this month.
