Eastern Washington CU Leaders Join NWCUA in Meeting Amy Hunter, Incoming DFI Director of Credit Unions
November 29, 2018
A large contingent of Eastern Washington credit union CEOs, Directors, and other senior level executives joined your Association at a meet-and-greet for Amy Hunter, the incoming Director of Credit Unions for the Washington Department of Financial Institutions (DFI).
Hunter was appointed to succeed Linda Jekel, who is retiring. Hunter has extensive regulatory agency experience, most recently with the Washington State Gambling Commission.
Attendees shared what is most important to them in working with regulatory agencies, how to move the charter forward, and how the Member Business Lending process can be improved. John Trull, your Association’s Vice President, Regulatory Advocacy, will be reaching out to credit union leaders in the Bellingham and Vancouver areas to invite them to two more opportunities to meet Amy Hunter in January. NWCUA would like to thank STCU for hosting this recent gathering!
