Credit Union Webinar Network Makes Email Changes; Asks Members to Add New Domain
August 14, 2018
Northwest Credit Union Association members get valuable content year-round from Credit Union Webinar Network. Through the partnership between CUWN and your Association, members have access to over 150 webinars each year, covering a variety of industry topics including compliance, lending, regulations, security, and more.
As part of a series of new email enhancements, CUWN has made some changes that will better serve NWCUA members. These changes mean fewer emails and more relevant content.
In order to get CUWN’s webinar email alerts, CUWN is asking Association members to let their IT departments know that emails from @e.cuwebtraining.com (IP 126.96.36.199) are from a safe sender. This change will include a new “from” address.
To manage your CUWN email preferences, click the Manage Your Email Preferences link at the bottom of any CUWN email and choose the topics you want to receive. Questions may be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 406-442-2585.
CUWN’s latest webinar focuses on the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, which could soon be mandatory in the United States. The regulation went into effect May 25, 2018. It’s intended to protect EU residents’ data privacy rights in the EU and beyond. Here at home, several states have already introduced similar legislation. Now is the time to further understand what it means for your credit union.
This free webinar – GDPR: What is it & Should Your Financial Institution Be Concerned? – focuses on how to analyze when and how your credit union could be affected by GDPR and how it differs from existing privacy rules. The webinar is available until Dec. 31.
