America’s Credit Union Announces Opening of Home Loan Center

America’s Credit Union celebrates the grand opening of its new Home Loan Center in DuPont, Wash., in June.

Last month, America’s Credit Union (ACU) announced the opening of a new Home Loan Center in DuPont, Wash., to serve members who look to finance their dream homes. Since beginning their mortgage services 15 years ago, ACU has helped more than 10,000 members achieve the American dream of owning a home.

Now it its 64th year, the credit union prides itself on being a market leader by differentiating the member experience. Its unique approach has resulted in doubled home-loan volume over the past two years. ACU employs seven home loan specialists with more than 100 years combined service.

ACU President and CEO Ken Leonard explained the importance of offering members the opportunity to finance their homes.

“Many credit unions and banks do some sort of mortgage lending from their branches. As we have grown in our home loan services to include VA, home improvement, and other home loan products, we decided to build a storefront Home Loan Center that would allow us to focus on taking care of that market. It shows our commitment to their needs and creates a convenient, positive atmosphere. We are very proud of what we have accomplished,” Leonard said.

The new Home Loan Center is located at 1495 Wilmington Drive in Dupont. It opens June 5 with a grand opening event featuring a barbeque and giveaways. Guests included members of DuPont City Council and Mayor Mike Courts, local business owners, Pierce and Thurston county relators, and several credit union members.
