Advocacy on the Move
Southwest Washington YCUP host “Advo-Que”
July 12, 2018
Sunshine, good food, backyard games, and most importantly, love for credit unions brought together the Young Credit Union Professionals (YCUP) of Southwest Washington and a bipartisan group of Washington legislators. On July 11, 2018, Representative Vicki Kraft (WA 17), Rep. Brandon Vick (WA18), Senator Dean Takko (WA19), Rep. Ed Orcutt (WA20), Pam Pieper, staffer for Congresswoman Jamie Herrera Beutler, and Larry Hoff, candidate for representative of the 18th legislative district, all took some time last night to attend the SW WA YCUP’s credit union advocacy event, “Advo-que” in Ridgefield, WA. Not only did YPs, members of the NWCUA advocacy team, and the legislators get the chance to chat and get to know each other better, there was even some friendly competition between YPs and the legislators over corn hole/bean bag toss.
