Strategic Link Announces New Partnership with Board Portal Provider Aprio Inc.
Aprio software simplifies board management and meetings.
While running a board of directors is familiar to credit unions, it seems that every year there are new governance expectations for timely information access, security, mobility, and transparency to engage diverse voices. Yet the time available to board chairs, credit union executives, and board administrators to prepare and run board meetings, and keep directors engaged and informed hasn’t increased.
Board portal technology was developed to automate setting up board meetings and securely distributing board information to members anywhere, at any time. Like most technology new to the market, the first board portals were expensive. Today, Aprio offers premium board portal technology at an affordable price, and is dedicated to helping credit unions, large and small, to run board meetings and manage board communication efficiently. Aprio has partnered with NWCUA to make good governance simple and affordable for credit unions throughout the region.
“Running productive board meetings and making communication convenient for directors is something essential to all of our credit union members,” said Jason Smith, Vice President of Strategic Resources for NWCUA. “After evaluating a number of respected board portals, we chose Aprio for its affordability and practicality. The technology was developed with credit unions in mind and we’ve heard from our own members that it saves them significant time managing their boards.”
Many people on the Aprio team spent part of their career working inside credit unions and, as Ian Warner, Aprio President and CEO explains, a commitment to assist credit unions and to spend wisely are core values of the Aprio team.
“We are fortunate to serve many credit union customers across North America, including Point West and Kitsap in the Northwest,” Warner said. “We’ve seen great wins among credit union boards in terms of big time and cost savings in meeting preparation, and more productive meetings with better attendance. We’re excited to provide more of that impact to NWCUA members.”
To kick off the NWCUA relationship, Aprio is also making a contribution to the Northwest Credit Union Foundation. The Foundation brings together credit unions, community organizations, and non-profits to improve and grow the regional economy.
