Simplot Employees Credit Union Makes a Big Impact for Local Charity

Each year, for the past three years, Simplot Employees Credit Union has offered a December Skip-a -Pay program in which members of the credit union can donate $25 to Ronald McDonald House Charities and skip their December loan payment. This year the members of Simplot ECU donated a total of $5,700 through this program as well as through other fundraising activities. The program has been so successful in raising funds for this important charity that the credit union will now be offering skip-a-pay in June as well. The check presentation was held in the Debbie McDonald Auditorium in the new JR Simplot Co. Headquarters Building in Boise, Idaho.  Garrett Lofto, the new CEO of the corporation and other Simplot employees and company board members were on hand for the presentation.

Since 1988, the Idaho Ronald McDonald House has been keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh, while their loved one is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.  While the Ronald McDonald House may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, they can help lessen the burden for hundreds of families each and every year. The JR Simplot Co., Simplot family, and their many employees have been integral in raising money for the creation, and ongoing support of, the Ronald McDonald House in Boise.
