With Tax Season Upon Us, Here’s Another Way to Boost the Value of CU Membership

Through NWCUA’s Strategic Link partnership with Love My Credit Union Rewards, you can guide your members through this coming tax season, and help them save.
When your credit union enrolls in the Love My Credit Union Rewards program, your members can receive a discount of up to $15 on federal products from TurboTax, with maximum refund guaranteed. Many of your members may already be using TurboTax, but not getting a discount. The TurboxTax service includes a “100 percent accurate calculations guarantee,” and its CompleteCheckTM process guides members through fixing errors before filing, and checks for missing and incomplete information. It also includes W-2 Snap, which enables members to take a snapshot of their form, and then enables TurboTax to auto-fill their information.
The program also benefits your credit union, helping you strengthen member loyalty by enhancing the value of membership, and add new recurring revenue streams. Credit unions can also promote products and services via a TurboTax microsite, such as IRAs, loan rates, and credit cards. In addition, the program serves as an avenue to capture member deposits. More than $238 billion in refunds were direct deposited into financial institutions last tax season.
